It is time for ABC’s 30th Annual Handlebars for the Holidays! They have provided new bike/helmet/lock packages to children in need in the Space Coast community who otherwise may never have owned a bicycle without help from generous ABC Members like you.

Since 1995, ABC-FEC has provided over 10,000 Florida kids with brand new bikes, helmets, and locks for the Holidays. ABC Members continue to show their generosity through this “Handlebars for the Holidays” program. Donations of any amount go towards the purchase of new hardware for the kids.

ABC member companies are encouraged to hold fund-atching drives with their employees, allowing everyone to participate and give to their community.

ABC-FEC has partnered with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office since 2015 to make this a true community event. ABC members provide the funds for bikes and locks, and through a partnership with the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), helmets are sourced.

Be generous this season and find joy knowing you’ve had a hand in providing children with this precious experience! Every dollar helps furnish children with Handlebars for the Holiday!

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is the largest Florida commercial construction trade association. ABC Florida East Coast Chapter has, since 1995, held the Handlebars for the Holidays community program. ABC Members have provided over 9,500 bicycles, helmets & locks to children in need. We are proud to partner with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Bikes for Tikes effort for the 11th year in a row. Every year ABC members of the commercial construction industry and generous citizens donate funds to Handlebars for the Holiday through ABC Cares Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity.

Annually, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office also reconditions and restores bicycles through the BCSO Work Farm using jail inmates.   Citizens can donate a bike to any BCSO Precinct or at the BCSO Work Farm. Brevard County customers of Waste Management can call 321-723-4455 to donate a used bike, or parts to the Brevard County Sheriff’s office. Handlebars for the Holidays goes a step further, providing new bikes to children in the community.
